Please understand, I'm taking an educated guess.I don't know this for a fact. In other words, you may need both simmconnect.dll for FSX and SimConnectP3D2.dll for Prepar3D (even if you don't use FSX). I do, and may be the reason I do not have any problems connecting FaceTrackNoIR to Prepar3D. The simconnect.ini file stays in the Settings folder.ĭo you have FSX installed on your computer? The renamed file still remains in the Settings folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\FreeTrackNOIR\Settings) I do not have simconnect.ini in any folder.however, I did not have to rename it. I must have renamed simconnect.ini to P3DV2 Arduino NEW HT.ini. Headtracker->simconnect.ini->FaceTrackNoIR->SimConnectP3D2.dll->Prepar3d. When installing the correct version of the Prepar3d SDK, it will correctly install the SimConnectP3D2.dll file. But, you want to use SimConnectP3D2.dll, which is located in the modules folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\Modules\), to connect to Prepar3d. When using Prepar3d, you still use simconnect.ini to connect your headtracker to FaceTrackNoIR. Headtracker->simconnect.ini->FaceTrackNoIR->simconnect.dll->FSX. The simconnect.dll, which is for FSX, connects FaceTrackNoIR to FSX. The simconnect.ini file is for Facetracknoir and interfaces your headtracker to FaceTrackNoIR. I think you might be getting the simconnect.ini file and the simconnect.dll files confused.
